Fibre Optic Modems for Serial Data

Fibre optic modems are used to transmit serial data over fiber optic cables. They are used when high speed and long distance data transmission is required. They can also be used to improve data security as they are less prone to interference or tampering than standard modems. Extend synchronous or asynchronous serial data across fibre optic cabling.
